19+ STUDENT SUPPORT FUND
WHO CAN APPLY?
You can apply if you are 19 or older on 31st August 2026 and are studying a College course.

WHAT CAN I GET HELP WITH?
If your household income is under £35,000, you could get help with:
Travel to and from college
Essential equipment (like uniforms, books, kits, or materials)
Childcare
Tuition fees*
Exam fees
Refreshment allowance (£4.50 per day, only if your timetabled hours exceed 5 hours)
Professional registrations or memberships (linked to your course or career)
You may get up to 75% of your tuition fees covered if you’re not eligible for ESFA tuition fee remission or an Advanced Learner Loan. (This is only available for Level 1 and Level 2 courses)
If your household income is between £35,001 and under £40,000, you could get help with:
Travel to and from college
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
You may be eligible if you:
Have a household income of £40,000 or less
Get Income Support, Jobseeker’s Allowance (income-based), ESA, or Universal Credit
Get the Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit
Can show you are facing financial hardship
