Year 7
The students selected for the Year 7 Spelling Bee are still working hard towards competing against Leigh Academy Rainham, in Module 6. They have made stupendous progress and they will, undoubtedly, make the school proud during the final.
Year 9
The Year 9s have now chosen their GSCE options and the vast majority decided to carry on studying French or Spanish. They have been working well this year and the teachers will now prepare them to transition nicely into Year 10 by focusing on grammar components.
Year 10
The Year 10 have now completed their first full speaking mock examination: roleplay, reading aloud, photo card and conversation.
The teachers were impressed by the level of readiness displayed by the students. Their accent, in particular, had improved, thanks to the continuous hard work of our language assistants, Ms Graca and Ms Martinez.
They will have their next set of mock examination in Module 6, reading, listening and writing.
Year 11
The Year 11s are entering the last weeks of preparation for their examinations. They have been writing 2 paragraphs this Module to consolidate their writing as well as ensuring that they can use their time effectively.
Year 11s carried on working on their 'general conversation' and practicing it with our Language Assistants.
Year 13
The Year 13 Spanish cohort has been working hard with Ms Picazo, Ms Lopez and Ms Martinez for their imminent examinations.
Their first examination will be the speaking, followed by listening/reading/writing, then writing.
