Keeping up to date with the exciting developments in Shakespeare College
As always, Module 3 and 4 have been busy, with lots of events taking place, from Year 11 mocks and Final Countdown evenings, to sports fixtures and various outside speakers coming into the academy to share their expertise.
One of the most exciting things was that in Module 3, Shakespeare topped the Sir Geoffrey Leigh League of Excellence, meaning that our students received more rewards and less sanctions than any of the other colleges. The Shakespeare team are so proud of our students and this achievement and the students were thrilled when they were told during our rewards assembly in Module 4. Let's hope the dedication to their academic development and their development as fantastic ambassadors for our community, continues.

Shakespeare Assemblies
On Thursday 19th March, Shakespeare students were treated to an assembly with a difference - it was presented by one of the Year 7 Shakespeare tutor groups, and what a wonderful assembly it was!
Mrs Thomas' tutor group presented lots of information about World Book Day and facts about reading. The information was fascinating and everyone involved presented so beautifully. Students throughout the lecture theatre were also given gifts of bookmarks to encourage them to find a book with pages to put it between. We thank you so much for all the hard work that went in to making it an assembly to remember.
Shakespeare Superstar
This is the second time that Aaron has appeared in this spot in the Shakespeare newsletter. Last time it was because he had smashed all of our reading challenges, which we were super proud of.
This time, Aaron won first place for his short gothic story which he entered for a Leigh Academies Trust competition. Aaron was presented with a certificate and a bar of chocolate for his efforts and success.
Well done Aaron!
