This annual retreat for just our 8th graders is a two day, one night camping trip to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, Oklahoma. The trip generally takes place the first week in October with students leaving school on Thursday morning and returning before the end of the school day on Friday.
This unique adventure is an opportunity for the students to participate in activities designed to build leadership, empathy, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. They will also explore the park, which is known for its mineral springs, visit the nature center, possibly do a little swimming, and just hang out and have fun in a new environment.
