The ScratchJr website is a particularly helpful, interactive resource. Visit the Learn and Teach tabs, and click around on all the interactively tabbed and linked items to get full descriptions of all the features, project ideas, and explanations.
Many Grade 1 teachers (and many individuals in other grades) in SD76 have at least tried it, so check with teachers in your school!
