Method #1 - very reliable because organizers email the recipients so they get an invitation and a calendar event with the link, which will also give them a reminder in Outlook (watch video from 0:00-10:45)
Method #2 - relies on experienced Teams members who get notifications about their Teams events, because organizers set up the meeting in the Team Conversation/Chat in the General tab for the Team - the link appears there for everyone in the team to follow, but NO EMAILS will be sent (watch video from 10:45-18:06)

If you are curious what Microsoft's answer to Google Classroom/Sites would look like, its actually a digital notebook that looks a lot like a textbook organizationally.
