Having students only logging out of Chromebooks and never doing the process of shutting them down means your school’s Chromebooks could be months out-of-date and missing features, plus the batteries die faster if they aren’t always plugged in. Make a habit of having students ALWAYS SHUT DOWN after every use.
On older Chromebooks, deleting old student accounts frees up space for new account creation and extension downloading. Watch this video to learn how. After exams (late January for the high schools, and late June for everyone) is a great time to do this.
All Staff – if you haven’t setup your Password Self Service already, go to Password Self Service and complete the set-up BEFORE your next required password reset date (6 months after your last one). Doing this in advance allows you to easily change your password and/or reset a forgotten password from your personal devices now.
Merry Christmas to all the schools who received a grand total of 967 Chromebooks and 81 iPads, care of Buying Santas Chris and Denise, Chief Elf Pat, and Delivery Elves Brayden and Colby!
