In 1887, Arlington Heights became incorporated as a village. Charles Sigwalt became the first village clerk, there was no mayor elected. The first meeting place for the village government was on the upper floor of Taege Hall on the Northeast corner of Campbell and Dunton, where Chase Bank is today.
The Village Board met in Meyer Hall on the second floor of the Union Hotel.
The Luettge Home was purchased and remodeled to accommodate Village Hall. The address was 101 W. Davis Street.
In 1914, the home was replaced with a new Village Hall building. The site also included a police station and fire station. (The home that was being used for Village hall was moved to 941 N. Dunton).
In 1961 the building was torn down and the Vail Street Jewel was built in its place. A new Village Hall was built in the same site as today. The cost $450,000.
In 2008, a new Village Hall was built in the footprint of the old one. The brick and stone building has gabled roofs and a clock tower.
On April 20, 2018 a mural of Meyer's Pond, originally painted by local artist, Jack Musich was installed in the grand staircase. Village Hall stands in the site that was once Meyer's Pond.
