This painting was commissioned by The People's Bank of Arlington Heights in 2007. This was a bank that opened in 2008 at 1104 S. Arlington Heights Road. Today it is still a bank, First Midwest Bank.Jack Musich 2007

Vail-Davis Building

The Vail-Davis Building was built in the Tudor style, in 1929. It is still located at 24 W. Davis Street.

Arlington Heights Historical Society

The former home of soda pop factory owner, Fredrick W. Muller has been turned into the villages' historical society. It is located at 110 W. Fremont Street.Jack Musich 1999

People's State Bank

Organized by local merchants and businessmen, the bank opened in January 1911 and was located on the corners of Campbell and Davis at the intersection of Evergreen Avenue. It was closed in 1932, leaving the village without any banking facilities for a time.

Arlington Park Racetrack

The racetrack opened in 1927. The construction of Northwest Hwy. and a railroad station made it convenient for people to enjoy the sport of horse racing. The track burned down in July 1985, but reopened in 1989 with world-class facilities.Jack Musich 2007

Public Drinking Fountain

The public drinking fountain was "for man or beast." It was located at Davis Street and Dunton Avenue near the Union Hotel. A certificate was necessary to water horses or whenever the person was thirsty.Jack Musich 2006

Meyer's Pond

Created in 1883 by Henry Meyer, Village residents skated here in the winter, held picnics in the summer, and enjoyed the beer garden and dance pavilion until 1934. Today it is home to the Village Hall.Jack Musich 2000

Old Village Hall

This Village Hall stood on the corners of Wing Street, Vail Avenue and Davis Street from 1913 until 1976. Throughout its history, the building contained government offices, a health center, courtroom, jail, a clubhouse for the firemen, and even the public library. Jack Musich 2000

Metropolis Performing Arts Center

Arlington High School

The first graduating class of Arlington High School was in 1923 and the last in 1984. Today, it is the home to Christian Liberty School. It is located at 502 W. Euclid Avenue.Jack Music 2000

Hagenbring Building

Hagenbring's Dry Goods Store was the place to go to buy material so there was not need to go to the stores in Chicago. Located at the Southwest corner of Vail Avenue and Campbell Street. Jack Musich 1998

Union Hotel

The Union Hotel and saloon were built in the mid 1800s and is the oldest known photo of the village. It stood for over 100 years. It was located south of the railroad tracks at Dunton Avenue and Davis Street . Jack Musich 1997
