The Vail Davis building was built in 1929. One of the original owners was Herman Redeker. He called it “his biggest venture and biggest loss." He and his partners completed the building in 1929 and owed $1,500 in interest. The money was in the bank but when the bank closed due to the stock market crash, they lost the property. In 2015, the building was renovated including the 16 apartments on the second and third floors of the building
