Built in 1938, it was built as part of President Roosevelt’s Works Progress Administration or WPA, as a way to create jobs for people who needed work during the Great Depression. It was the first swimming pool in town and has been enjoyed by residents ever since! Since 1976, it has been the host of the annual 4th of July Frontier Days Festival and carnival.
