People are homeless, wandering around

and longing for freedom.

And you, speaking to give them home

And you, who gave them light,

hope, direction and freedom

And you, for their freedom from the

poverty and oppression of the old world.

You open the golden door

You open up your warm embrace to welcome them

You hold a torch and smile

and wave to them in the distance，

To show them the way.

你在高处眺望对岸

大地铺尽的鲜血

火光伴随着枪声， 像凶兽一样四处奔走

四处都是废墟，倒塌的

人们无家可归，四处流浪，渴望自由

而你，发言要给予他们家

你敞开着金色的大门
