Personal Property, Valuables and Lost Property

Students are not allowed to bring any valuable items into the school. These include AirPods, headphones, digital cameras, smart watches and any other personal entertainment equipment.

The school discourages the bringing of mobile phones into school and if brought into school they do so entirely at their own risk. Any student found to be using a mobile phone or other digital equipment during the school day will have it confiscated and a sanction will be applied in accordance with our Positive Behaviour for Learning’ Policy, which can be accessed on the school website.

The success of this policy not only depends on our students acting sensibly but also on the support of our parents. All parents are expected to support the school over this important matter.

Please note that the use of smart watches, AirPods and headphones will be covered by the same procedures set out above.

Students needing to contact parents in an emergency should report to Reception where they are able to use the school phone. Students who contact their parents directly from their own mobile phone without permission will be sanctioned accordingly.

Please note that mobile phones and all other electrical/digital equipment that are not handed into Reception remain the sole responsibility of the student. The School is not and will not be responsible or liable for any damage, loss or theft to the equipment. The school cannot be held responsible for any personal property lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.

Lost Property

All property brought into school must be clearly labelled. This includes uniform, shoes and equipment. If a student loses anything, they should go to Student Reception. If an item is named and handed in, the student will be contacted and instructed to collect the item from Student Reception. All unclaimed items will be disposed of at regular intervals. The PE Faculty also holds lost property for a limited period.
