Scarsdale Elementary ELA News!
The classroom library serves as the "heart of the classroom" and is central to our reading workshop. We highly value nurturing students' love and joy of reading and believe they should have access to books that act as windows, mirrors, and sliding glass doors into different worlds and perspectives.
Our classroom libraries are organized around key elements, including reading levels, genres, series, authors, and diverse topics. Students are exposed to a wide variety of texts that help them understand our ever-changing global society.
