General Announcements

A new club on campus, Young Life, which will be meeting this Thursday in room 311 during lunch. Come enjoy pizza and find out what Young Life is all about. Hope to see you there.

Get lunch faster in shorter lines! Starting Monday Feb 5th, you can scan your ID card (or provide your student ID number) for lunch! Nolonger need a pin number! Click here for Breakfast and lunch menus

Need something new to read but don't know where to start? Try Blind Date with a Book! During the month of February,  stop by the library and fill out the Blind Date with a Book form and Ms. Autumn will set you up with a with a new book 'date'

Calling ALL GOLFERS!!! The 2024 Boys Golf season is right around the corner. The two tryout dates are Feb. 12th & 13th. Tryouts will be held at Mission Bay GC starting at 3:45pm on both days. Please make sure you have your physical forms completed & uploaded to athleticclearance.com prior to Feb. 12. If you have any questions or concerns please see Mr. Anderson in rm. 185. 

Hit'em straight!!!

Boys Lacrosse season is approaching! If you are interested in playing, please make sure to complete a physical. Tryouts will be held Monday February 12th and Tuesday February 13th at Mission Bay field. You do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience to play lacrosse. All are encouraged to try out for the team. If you have additional questions, please contact missionbaylaxsd@gmail.com.  Go Bucs! 

First track meet of the 2024 season will be Feb 22, 2024 at Mission Bay, all are welcome to come and support. This will be an intersquad all alumni and parents are welcomed to come and watch the #1 ranked Mission Bay Track team in action!

CCTE students - Free (online) weekly math tutoring available! The student eligibility requirements are if they:

 Earned a C, D or F in their math class S1, currently have a CCTE class, and are currently in a Math course this term

Black History Month



Club Rush and 8th Grade Visit: Attention Club and Class Advisors and Coaches!!! Our 8th Grade Visit and Spring Club Rush is on Thurs, Feb 29. 8th Grade Club Rush begins at 12:50pm, followed by Club Rush for MB students at lunch. If you want to fundraise for this event, be sure to submit your forms to ASB ASAP- fundraising items will be approved on a first come-first served basis. If you just need a table, you need to sign up on the Club Rush Sign-Up, also in the ASB room. Advisors, please supervise your club and arrange for passes for your officers to get out of class at 12:30pm for set up. 


Counseling Announcements

Hi Sophomores!  If you want to take the PSAT- Practice SAT exam here at Mission Bay High, please sign up HERE by FEBRUARY 15th!

Why should you take it?

1 - Practice for the real SAT which is required for private and some out of state universities, scholarships, and other opportunties you may want to explore!  (NOT required for UC/CSU )

2 - Practice for the 11th grade PSAT/NMSQT exam you can take for free in October and you could win scholarships by taking this exam!

3 - IT IS FREE...so why not?!

Deadline to register to take the test AT Mission Bay High is February 15th.  (Other dates are available at other school sites if you miss the deadline.)

It’s Back! Schoolyard Dash 5K & 1K Fun Run

The NEW Music Business Work-Study Program is curating a professional concert series at Meraki Event Space and Lounge this Spring.  Our kick-off concert will be February 22 featuring the MB Preservationists and the award-winning Euphoria Brass Band led by Mr. Balmat!  Concert/Dinner packages are available at www.merakiconcerts.com.  All proceeds go to support the MB Music Program.

On February 28th the Mission Bay Preservationists will be holding a concert to raise funds for their New Orleans trip in April.  This is a family friendly event open to the public.  Concert will be held at the Soledad Club at 7PM. Tickets are $30 general admission, $40 preferred table seating.  Contact Mbbandboosters@gmail.com to reserve your tickets before they are sold out!

Senior Awards date change - The Class of 2024 Awards Night has been rescheduled to Tues, May 28th. The Underclass Awards Night is still scheduled for Thurs, May 30th.

2024-25 ATHLETIC PHYSICALS: All students interested in participating in High School Athletics next year must be cleared by a physician. For the 2024-25 school year, all physicals will need to be completed after Friday, June 7, 2024 to be covered for the entirety of the 2024-25 school year.  The 2024-25 athletic physical packets will be posted to athleticclearance.com on Friday, June 7, 2024.
