Your first progress report for Semester 1 is coming up! P1 Term ends this Friday - Check your current grades in Powerschool and Canvas so that you are prepared for the grade you will get on your Progress Report. Check in with your teachers, turn in all assignments or coursework and seek assistance in ACES before school or after school for support.

ID Card update - If you need a replacement ID card or if you didn’t get one yet, please see Ms. Griffin BEFORE SCHOOL OR AT THE BEGINNING OF LUNCH. Office hours are 8am - 2pm
Tech Tip: Did you know that you have access to online databases through the school library catalog? Go to destiny.sandi.net to use ProQuest, Britannica, and more! These are FREE to use as a student; be sure to sign in with your student ID and password.
ART CLUB invites you to "Positivity Rocks"continued!!!! Rock painting workshop that combines decorating rocks with positive affirmations. The workshop will continue to run consecutive TUESDAY lunch periods in ROOM #232- 9/26 and 10/3. Join us to celebrate art and spread positive vibes! Henkes
EcoClub meets every Wednesday at lunch in room 255. Join us for activities to make a positive impact on our planet.
Students make sure to keep on top of your attendance. If you are planning on attending homecoming you must be on the VIP list. Students on the VIP list are in good standing with their attendance. Tardies can be made up daily in room 154. If you should have any questions please see Mrs. Filamor.

Each month we will highlight an IB Learner Profile. The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. September is the Learner Profile INQUIRERS.
As INQUIRERS, we nurture our curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and research. We know how to learn independently and with others. We learn with enthusiasm and sustain our love of learning throughout life.

Homecoming 2023- Our Welcome to the Jungle Homecoming Pep Rally, Game and Dance are fast approaching. Here is everything you need to know!
Homecoming Court Nominations will take place the week of Oct 9. You will be able to nominate up to 6 students in your grade level for the following positions on our Homecoming Court:
Freshmen- Lord and Ladies
Sophomores- Duke and Duchess
Juniors- Prince and Princess
Seniors- King and Queen
All Students- Staff Emperor and Empress

Homecoming Court Election: Wed, Oct 11
Homecoming Pep Rally: Fri, Oct 13 at 12:35pm in the gym.
Homecoming Football Game and Half-Time Show: Fri, Oct 13 at 7pm. Class floats will be presented and the Homecoming Court will be crowned.
Homecoming Dance: Sat, Oct 14 7pm-11pm at the San Diego Zoo. Your ticket includes Zoo inspired snacks and treats, animal encounters and access to Skyfari rides beginning at 9pm. You must be in the dance by 8pm and will not be able to leave before 10pm without a parent/guardian present to pick you up.

How Decisions Are Made Save the Date: Calling all grade levels - students and families. Please join us for an evening program on Zoom, Wednesday, September 27 at 6pm. In partnership with a local college admissions rep, you will learn how a college determines if a student is a good fit and their evaluation process. Senior Portraits by Prestige for the 2024 yearbook will be taken on the MBHS campus from Monday October 9, 2023 through Friday October 13, 2023. You must go online and book your Senior Portrait with Prestige! Refer to the flyer or visit https://prestigeportraits.com THE SITTING FEE FOR PRESTIGE PORTRAITS AT MBHS IS $20 AND CAN BE PAID WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS $20 FEE IS FOR ONE-POSE ONLY, EITHER TUX DRAPE/DRESS DRAPE/OR SOLID BLACK SCHOOL-APPROPRIATE TOP. PACKAGES WITH MULTIPLE PHOTOS AND OUTFITS ARE AVAILABLE, AND THE PRICING AND PAYMENT FOR THOSE CAN BE FOUND ON THE PRESTIGE WEBSITE. A free alternative will be offered on campus - more information to come.

LCFF - Parent participation in completing the LCFF form for each of our students is a top priority for our school.
