General Announcements

The last progress report of the year - P4 Term ends this Friday.  Check your grades in Powerschool and Canvas, check in with your teachers, take advantage of ACES.  Progress reports will be emailed to families via Digital Document Delivery by next Friday, April 26th. 

MATH and SCIENCE TUTORING at ACES

We have amazing tutors from the University of California San Diego who specialize in all levels of Math and Science available to help you every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning from 7:30 - 8:30 in the Library! 

SBAC Testing for Juniors this week: Monday 4/15 - Friday, 4/19 Periods 2/6 and 3/7. 

Bring your fully CHARGED school-issued laptop, headphones and charging cord every day!

As we kickoff testing season with the SBAC and then move in to AP and IB testing, please take care of you.  According to the JED Foundation, engaging in “me-time” activities reduces stress hormones and promotes mental relaxation

Congratulations to the MB Academic League team for their quarter-finals victory last Thursday. They play in the Semi-Finals this Thursday night at 7:00.


 

Did you know that the Schoolyard Dash 5K is next Sunday, April 21st? By volunteering at the event, you can get credit for Saturday School or towards your community service hours! 

And for those in a MBHS student club, you can get community service hours by sharing information about your group after the race from 9 am - 11 am.

Congressional Art Competition -  The annual Congressional Art Competition is now open to all high school students in the 50th Congressional District.  The winning artwork will be proudly displayed in our nation’s Capitol for one year. Young Life Meeting location has been changed this week due to SBAC testing.  The meeing location this Thursday is the Little Theatre (next to the music room)

This week is Wellness Week.  There are many activities happening all week in your classrooms and around campus.  Please check out the Wellness Fair in the weedpatch on Thursday at lunch!   Look for more information in Canvas. 

The Post-High School Transition Fair will be held on April 15th, 4:30-6:30 pm, at Lincoln High School. All Students, Families, and Staff are welcome! The goal of this event provide information, support, ideas, and opportunities to all of our high school staff, students, and families for life after high school.

ACES TUTORING - Get your grades in shape by going to ACES Tutoring in the library. We open at 7:30 before school and we close at 5:00 after school and there are Mission Bay teachers in all subjects plus our ACES Style Peer tutors to help with any of your subjects.

Spring Pep Rally is Friday, April 26!!!

Mark your calendars for the Spring Pep Rally. This is our final pep rally of the year and we look forward to celebrating the final push to summer. Be sure to check instagram @mb_bucs for Pep Rally Theme and Spirit Week updates! 

The pep rally will begin at 12:35pm and will end at lunch. Juniors and Seniors enter the gym at the doors by the PE blacktop. Freshmen enter at the door closest to the stadium (southwest door) and Sophomores enter through the main entrance at the bus loop.

Attention Class of 2025-2026 (and some exceptional Class of 2027 members)!!!
We are looking for energetic, positive mentors to lead activities at Freshmen Orientation on Mon, Aug 5.
Here is our summer schedule:
Wed, July 31 1pm-4pm (be flexible and allow for an extra hour if needed)
Mon, Aug 5 7am-3pm (lunch provided)

 

TBD: Freshman Tailgate (before home football game)

ALL DATES ARE MANDATORY

If you are interested and eligible (2.0 GPA and CPA) complete THIS APPLICATION by Fri, April 26 and receive a Link Crew t-shirt!!! Late applications may be accepted but space and a shirt will not be guaranteed.

Prom ticket sales will start on April 8, 2024 everyday during lunch 

 Prom ticket sales will stop on May 3, 2024

 Prices will start at $95

 On April 22, 2024 prices will go up. 

 You will not be able to purchase a ticket if you are not on the VIP list.

 If you are eligible to purchase a ticket but then lose VIP, there will be no refunds.
