General Announcements

We hope you had a wonderful Spring Break!  Progress report P4 term ends in two weeks on Friday April 19th. Check your grades in Powerschool and Canvas, check in with your teachers, take advantage of ACES.  We have less than 7 weeks left in the school year.  Testing is ramping up for SBAC, AP and IB.  We have a busy end of the year. You got this!

Juniors - We encourage you to complete all missing assignments/makeup work for your classes this week in preparation for the P4 Progress Report. You will be completingSBAC tests the last week of the term.  SBAC Testing will be taking place throughout the Week of April 15th. 

Join us on Sunday, April 21, 2024, for the 8th Annual Schoolyard Dash 5K and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run!

Run, walk, or just enjoy the morning at beautiful De Anza Cove at Mission Bay. The 5K run/walk benefits Pacific Beach Middle School and Mission Bay High School through the joint parent-teacher organization, Friends of Pacific Beach Secondary Schools (FOPBSS). Register here today!

We have sold over 600 yearbooks and THERE ARE ONLY 9 COPIES LEFT. Please reserve one now before they are completely sold out by using a card at Jostens.com or bringing $85 cash or check payable to MBHS to the Finance Office at lunch.

2024-25 Student Board Member Application Now Available


Congrats to the 2024 Eastern League Champion Track and Field Team. MB is undefeated and top team in San Diego as well as the State of California!

 

April 11, 2024 will be the Mission Bay Track and Field Senior Day Track Meet. Come and honor our class of 2024!

 

Saturday April 13, 2024 will be the 6th Annual Jim Cerveny Invite. This meet will feature Southern California’s best track and field athlete. Please talk to Mrs. Fills more to get up to 2 Saturday schools cleared for working the meet. To anyone that wants to volunteer I can sign off on community service hours, please contact Coach Danny at dperez2@sandi.net, Come watch the last home meet of our seniors!

Due to a variety of reasons, Drama Club has decided to cancel the production of The Twelve Huntsmen. We appreciate everyone's support as we tried to navigate this project. We hope that students will join us in planning next year's productions. Please see Mrs. BR in room 227 if you have any questions or concerns.




Congressional Art Competition -  The annual Congressional Art Competition is now open to all high school students in the 50th Congressional District.  The winning artwork will be proudly displayed in our nation’s Capitol for one year. The Post-High School Transition Fair will be held on April 15th, 4:30-6:30 pm, at Lincoln High School. All Students, Families, and Staff are welcome! The goal of this event provide information, support, ideas, and opportunities to all of our high school staff, students, and families for life after high school.

ACES TUTORING - Get your grades in shape by going to ACES Tutoring in the library. We open at 7:30 before school and we close at 5:00 after school and there are Mission Bay teachers in all subjects plus our ACES Style Peer tutors to help with any of your subjects.

Link Crew is MB's Freshmen Mentor Program!

Attention Class of 2025-2026 (and some exceptional Class of 2027 members)!!!
We are looking for energetic, positive mentors to lead activities at Freshmen Orientation on Mon, Aug 5.
Here is our summer schedule:
Wed, July 31 1pm-4pm (be flexible and allow for an extra hour if needed)
Mon, Aug 5 7am-3pm (lunch provided)

 

TBD: Freshman Tailgate (before home football game)

ALL DATES ARE MANDATORY

If you are interested and eligible (2.0 GPA and CPA) complete THIS APPLICATION by Fri, April 26 and receive a Link Crew t-shirt!!! Late applications may be accepted but space and a shirt will not be guaranteed.

Senior Announcements

Double Saturday School Credit for Seniors on 4/13/2024 if you work the Track Meet.  If you want to sign up or get more information, please see Coach Farrar. This will be on a first come, first serve basis. 

Prom ticket sales will start on April 8, 2024 everyday during lunch 

 Prom ticket sales will stop on May 3, 2024

 Prices will start at $95

 On April 22, 2024 prices will go up. 

 You will not be able to purchase a ticket if you are not on the VIP list.

 If you are eligible to purchase a ticket but then lose VIP, there will be no refunds. 

Seniors: Many of you still have overdue materials. Please stop in the library to see what you owe, or take a screenshot of this QR code and log in with your ID number and password. Thank you! - Ms. Hausman

Our next Buc Leadership/Governance and School Site Council Meetings will be held via zoom starting at 7:30am on Wed, April 10th. 

The next FOPBSS Meeting will be held Wed, April 10th at 6pm at PBMS Media Center

Our Music Business Work-Study Program professional concert series at Meraki Event Space and Lounge continues.  Our next concert will be April 25th featuring the MB musicians and Holly Hofmann.
