Crawford High School, located in San Diego's El Cerrito neighborhood, offers a diverse and inclusive environment with a strong focus on preparing students for college, careers, and community leadership. The school is known for its wide array of Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways that give students real-world experiences and industry-relevant skills. Programs include the Law Academy, where students work with local attorneys and participate in mock trials; the Emergency Medical Responder program, which prepares students for first responder careers right after graduation; and Automotive Technology, which provides hands-on training in car repair and maintenance. Additional pathways in Arts, Media, and Entertainment and the FACES (For the Future) health sciences program offer further opportunities for students to explore their passions while gaining college credit and workplace readiness.
The Emergency Response pathway helps students get ready for careers that involve protecting and saving lives. In this program, students learn important skills and knowledge they can use in college, job training programs, or future careers. The Legal Practices pathway introduces students to the world of law and the many careers connected to the legal system. In this pathway, students learn about different types of law such as criminal, civil, family, and constitutional law, and how the legal system works. They also develop important skills like research, public speaking, critical thinking, and understanding legal documents. These skills are useful in many careers, including paralegal, legal assistant, court clerk, or eventually becoming a lawyer or judge. This program helps students build a strong foundation they can use in college, law-related training programs, or entry-level jobs in the legal field.

This pathway is for students who are interested in what goes on behind the scenes of performances, films, or live events. Students learn how to manage productions, operate technical equipment, direct projects, and plan events from start to finish. This pathway builds leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. It’s a great fit for students who want to explore careers in directing, stage management, lighting and sound design, producing, or arts administration.

The Systems Diagnostics, Service, and Repair pathway is a great fit for students who like taking things apart to see how they work. Students learn how to diagnose and repair engines, brakes, electronics, and other vehicle systems. With hands-on experience and problem-solving practice, this pathway prepares students for careers as automotive technicians, mechanics, or specialists in engine and systems maintenance.
