Clairemont High School

Clairemont High School is a vibrant academy-model school located in the heart of the Clairemont community. As an Academy School, Clairemont offers students the opportunity to learn in smaller, career-themed learning communities that combine college-prep academics with real-world, hands-on experiences. This model helps students build stronger relationships with teachers, explore future career paths, and connect learning to life beyond high school. Each academy provides a structured four-year sequence of study aligned to high-demand industries. Students gain career-specific skills while completing college prep coursework and have access to internships, and field experiences.

Software and Systems Development

Sector: Information Communication Technology

The Games and Simulation pathway prepares students for careers in game design, interactive media, and simulation development. Students gain hands-on experience in designing and programming digital games, building interactive environments, and developing real-time simulations for entertainment, education, and training.

Throughout the pathway, students learn industry-standard software tools, scripting languages, and design principles.

This pathway is for students who are interested in what goes on behind the scenes of performances, films, or live events. Students learn how to manage productions, operate technical equipment, direct projects, and plan events from start to finish. It’s a great fit for students who want to explore careers in directing, stage management, lighting and sound design, producing, or arts administration.
