In the SAM4 setup tool you can assign a NOVAQ to a motor.
Notice It is extremely important that the NOVAQ is linked to the correct motor ID. If you link an incorrect NOVAQ to the motor ID, the information of another NOVAQ will be shown in the system as the information for this motor ID.
Follow the next steps to assign a NOVAQ to a motor:
1. Navigate to the “DAQs” page in the top bar and click on the serial number of device you want to link.
2. Press the “Link motor” button in the motor information card. This page will take a few seconds to load
3. Select the location of the motor. A list of motor information is shown, please make sure this NOVAQ is indeed installed on the exact motor shown on screen
4. Press “Link motor”
Notice If the incorrect motor has been linked to a NOVAQ, use the “Unlink” button in the motor information card.
5. To assign a different motor to its corresponding NOVAQ unit on the same network, log out of the SAM4 Setup Tool on the current device by going to the Account tab and selecting Log out.
6. Log in to the SAM4 setup tool on a different NOVAQ, following steps described here.
Notice All NOVAQ units on the same network can be accessed and configured by connecting your laptop to the last device in the daisy chain.
If the motor is not available
If the motor is not showing up in the overview:
1. Please copy the exact NOVAQ serial number from this page in the SAM4 setup tool
2. Follow the instructions on Linking through the Onboarding portal or contact WhatsApp Chat Support.
