The Erasmus+ project “Art Bridge between Tallinn and Lisbon” led students to create short films and explore art.
From February 3rd to 7th, the Erasmus+ project “Art Bridge between Tallinn and Lisbon” took place, this time in Tallinn and Helsinki. Our school hosted 9 students from the German School of Lisbon who, together with 9 students from our school, participated in a unique short film creation project. The workshops were led by filmmaker Pilleriin Raudam, who helped the young people delve into the fundamentals of filmmaking.
Creating Short Films
Working in international teams of 2-4 people, the students learned important aspects of filmmaking over two days: storytelling and development, pitching, the role of the protagonist, cinematography, filming techniques, editing, and more. They then headed to the set – Wednesday was entirely dedicated to filming and editing. Despite the tight schedule, all the short films were completed on time and premiered on February 5th in the school auditorium, watched by a large audience. After the screening of each short film, the teams shared their experiences and talked about the film's creative process.
In between, the students also had the opportunity to visit the Fotografiska photography museum with an excellent guide, Elo Aun, to see exhibitions by Shepard Fairey, Feng Li, and Lembit Peegel.

Art Trip to Helsinki
On Thursday and Friday, the program continued in Helsinki, where the students visited several art museums and participated in creative workshops. At the HAM Helsinki Art Museum, they explored the work of Tove Jansson. At the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, they delved into contemporary art. At Amos Rex, they experienced the exhibition of artist Larissa Sansour and participated in the creative workshop "Future schools." At the EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art, the students experienced the synergy of contemporary art and design and participated in the "Different Design" workshop.
This multifaceted and inspiring week provided the participants with valuable new experiences and knowledge about film and contemporary art, as well as the ability to collaborate in an international team, develop their foreign language skills, and make new friends.
Many thanks to our partners:
