On October 17-22, our artistic cooperation with the German School of Lisbon (Deutsche Schule Lissabon) continued. This time the group mobility project focused on street art, and as part of it, the students created a joint art exhibition in the premises of the German School in Lisbon.
For inspiration, students visited various museums and art galleries, such as the MAAT museum and the street art gallery Underdogs. They participated in the Lisbon street art tour in Graça, Mouraria, Cacilha and Quinta da Arelva, visited Palácio da Pena in Sintra and other attractions.
On Wednesday, 19th of October, a digital drawing workshop was held at FabLab Lisboa, where students used the programs/apps ProCreate and Adobe Illustrator to create personal street art stencils. Later, the created artworks were cut out with a laser cutter and CNC machine to be used for exhibition works. The students were guided by FabLab staff and professional artist and graphic designer Hugo Makarov.
The exhibition works were created at the German School in Lisbon and were later placed in the atrium of the school. Along with the street art exhibition, a joint tape artwork and photo exhibition were also prepared in the school. About 70 people came to the opening of the exhibition.
With the suport of Erasmus+ co-financing, nine 12th grade students from Tallinna Saksa Gümnaasium participated in the group mobility: Aron Liske, Otto-Taaniel Kärblane, Elin Makkar, Silja Janu, Mia Kolmann, Hanna Ravell, Meeli Õigus, Marta Verliin, Eliise Maria Tammaru. The students were accompanied by teachers Erik Joasaare and Avely Kasela.
