Benefit Rate Sheets

RUSD employees enjoy competitive health and dental plans that are payroll deducted 10thly (deductions are taken ten months out of the year, no deductions in June or July) and at composite rates. Although there are no deductions in the summer months, this payroll arrangement does not affect health and welfare benefits as the coverage is year round.

Composite rates are paid at "family" tier regardless of how many eligible dependents are covered (example: Employee Only coverage will pay the same rate as Employee + Family coverage).  Therefore, adding or dropping eligible dependents does not affect the monthly payroll deduction; and since tiered rates do not exist, the benefit rates provided below will be deducted from each payroll cycle for ALL enrolled employees.

Employees who waive or Opt-Out of health or dental benefits will be offered a 10thly stipend as agreed and negotiated by bargaining units. Stipend terms and eligibility are subject to change.  Proof of existing healthcare coverage is required to qualify for a stipend.
