Most colleges want to see a majority of work focused on observation (meaning drawn from life: still life, figurative, perspective, etc.). Absolutely, they do not want to see "copies" of anyone else's artwork. All art must be original (they want to see your voice). Most colleges only accept digital images. Make sure all photographs/scans are cropped, clear, with even lighting.
