Color Study

I started out with finding a photo with nice color. I than printed it in color and graphed one centimeter lines on a separate piece of paper and on the photo itself. I made this with oil pastels. I used black, brown, pink, red, grey, and white. I start with one square and i use ever color in that square and put it on the other paper and blend them together. In the end it looks like a blurry image of the original image.

I used color, value, texture, space, contrast, and emphasis. I used color by using a wide range of color depending on the image. I used value by making each square a different color than its neighbor square. I used texture because oil pastel gives texture. I used space because I used all my photo with color to all corners. I used contrast by picking a photo with really good lighting.

This means a lot to me because its of me. This relates to me because its me, and my life is kind of like a blur. I really like how this piece came out and its one of my favorite. I really enjoyed doing this, and I like working with color. If I could go back and change anything, I probably wouldn't change anything at all. I like how it came out.
