For our midterm we had to choose an artist that inspired us and draw or create something that shows the connection. I used primary colors, blue, yellow, black and red. I used a ruler and markers. This drawing is based of of an inspiration I had from the De Stijl art movement and I was inspired by Piet Mondrian because he was inspired by the views of the streets.
I used color, line, shape, and balance. I used color by only using primary colors. I used line by using a ruler and making lines. I used shape because I made squares and rectangles. I used balance by balancing out the colors and the amount I used. I tried to make the same amount of color so it all balanced and one color didn't pop out.
This relates to me because I like to make things simple. This doesn't mean much to me, it just relates to he way I like to draw. I feel like my artwork is similar to the De Stijl art movement. If I could go back and change something about this I would've used paint instead of marker. Im not a fan of the marker lines.
