DAY 9

Happy Friday everyone! Here are the plans for today. I will post more activities on Monday, March 30th for Spring Break. These will be completely optional. I will also send an art challenge, from Mrs. Stein to you over break if you want to participate! Send us your completed projects and we can compile a slide show of all your masterpieces.

Language Arts

Listen to the story, Rainbow Fish, (attached in email) and respond to the prompt- Rainbow Fish had a hard time sharing his shiny scale with the other fish. Tell me about a time where you shared something and how did you feel? Also, how did the other person react?

You may respond in your journal with a picture and response, or a video message on Flip Grid!

Handwriting

A fun way to practice letter formation and spelling simple words is by using shaving cream. Designate a space in your house that you can use shaving cream. If you have a baking sheet at home this will help with quick and easy clean up. The children have done this many times in the classroom, so they are familiar with the activity.

Art

Finish working on Mrs. Stein's art challenge- Artist Cindy Sherman

Movement: Go Noodle:

https://app.gonoodle.com/

This is a favorite movement and dance program that the children participate in each week. I’m sure they will let you know what their favorite video is to start. The site ranges from Kidz Bop videos to Yoga and mindfulness.

10 Minute Challenge

Today’s Challenge: Build a house out of ________. (legos, blocks, magnatiles, recycled goods, playdough and craft sticks, etc). Ask your child to tell you about their house - Who lives in the house? How did you design the house?
