Emily Belgarde, LPCC, PPSC

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, LPCC 13262

Mental Health Specialist I

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the full time role of Mental Health Specialist at Woodcreek High School. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development with a focus in Social and Community Settings, as well as my Master of Science in Counseling at California State University, Sacramento. I am passionate about the importance of addressing the whole student and believe that every student should be healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged to ensure long-term development and success. High school can be a challenging time for some students and my goal is to provide a safe place on campus where students feel heard, seen, and understood. In my role as Mental Health Specialist, I deliver individual and group therapy, as well as family engagement when optimal. I also work with our Wellness team at Woodcreek to deliver mental health education and awareness to the whole student body through classroom presentations, lunchtime activities, and a mental health awareness club called Bring Change 2 Mind. My goal is that all students will have a space to talk about mental health and access support when needed.
