Its a privilege to support Wellness Centers which provide a comfortable and safe space for students where they can get confidential services. When not at work I enjoy living and playing in the Sierra foothills or just staying home working in my yard and hanging out with family, friends and of course my dog. I have much gratitude for the opportunity to work with the students and staff at Adelante High School. I am amazed on a daily basis by the strength, resilience, and determination seen in our students! I am passionate about integrating mind and body in addressing Mental Wellness and sharing this with our students, staff and families. So, in addition to being a Marriage & Family Therapist I am also a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TC-TSY). When not on campus I can be found out walking, in the yoga studio, camping, or working in the yard. I enjoy the outdoors very much and the grounding effect it brings. Hi, my name is Fran Velasquez. I work for the Roseville Joint Union High School District, supporting Independence High School. I earned my BS in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University. I have worked in social service for 20+ years. In that time it has been my great pleasure to work with both students and families. Personally, I love being outdoors just having my feet in the sand and enjoying life. I am truly looking forward to supporting students and families at Independence High School.
