Chuck graduated in 1950. He received his BA in Social Studies and his MA in Administration and Guidance from Eastern Washington University. Chuck has also completed graduate courses at Washington State University, Gonzaga University, and the American Management Association. He has served at the National Director of the People to People High School Ambassador Program. Chuck has served as President of the Spokane Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, the Eastern Washington Alumni Association, and the Spokane Valley Chapter of Kiwanis International. He has also served as Valley District Chairperson for the Boy Scouts of America and as Chairperson for the Neighborhood Accountability Board. Check has been a member of the Central Valley School Board, the YMCA Executive Board and has held leadership positions on both the Community Mobilization Against Drug Abuse and the Washington State Substance Abuse Council. He has also been an AAU coach and contributing member of that organization.
Paul graduated in 1975. He received his AA Degree from North Idaho Junior College and his BA from Long Beach State University. Paul is self employed as a contractor and financial planner. He is the exclusive agent for Allstate Insurance in the Hillyard neighborhood. His community involvement includes Chairman of the Hillyard Neighborhood Council, a Hillyard Festival Member, and volunteer wrestling coach at Rogers for 25 years. Paul recently purchased a ferris wheel for children to use during special events in the Hillyard neighborhood. He is the Director of the Market Street Market, is in charge of neighborhood garbage clean up, and is a volunteer for the Chalk Art Work. Paul is the official holiday decorator for the Hillyard neighborhood and sponsors a holiday special at the Hillyard COP Shop.
Art graduated in 1951. He served in the U.S. Navy and completed some college before joining the staff of Ryerson Steel Co. in Spokane. After a successful career with Ryerson in Spokane and later in Dallas, Texas, he founded his own company, Trace Metal Industries, where he served as president until his death in 2001. Art was an avid athlete and runner, co-founding the Mid-Cities Runners’ Club and the Fort Worth Running Club. He had more than thirty marathons to his credit including the Boston Marathon. He was also a member of the Fort Worth Petroleum Club, Symphony League of Fort Worth, and the North Texas Humane Society. While Art was a frequent and anonymous donor to religious, children’s, and animal charities and was a sponsor of Optimist Youth Sports and Fort Worth Youth Boxing Programs, he preferred that most of the charitable deeds go unheralded.
Patty graduated in 1977. She received two undergraduate degrees from Spokane Community College and a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Washington University. Patty’s community involvement includes Washington State Future Business Leaders of America, Junior Achievement, Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation Pacesetter Committee, Spokane Area Master of Business Administration Association, Spokane Business Women’s Network, and National Association of Female Executives. Her honors include the Dean’s Honor List, Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, and she was named 1997 EWU College of Business and Public Administration’s Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. Patty graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a state and national winner in Human Relations and Decision Making. She is currently Construction Manager of Energy Emergency Services and is an adjunct faculty member of Whitworth College and of Webster University located at Fairchild Air Force Base.
Percy graduated in 1982 and attended Spokane Falls Community College, Whitworth College, and Washington State University. He has coached at the middle and high school levels since 1979 and has 10 years experience in delinquency intervention. Percy was a police officer for 10 years and is an ordained Baptist Minister. His community involvement includes working with diverse community centers, youth groups and agencies, and youth programs in area churches. He started Open Gym and Project Vision which is a program for children. Percy has worked in and around the East Central and Martin Luther King Community Centers since 1982. He is committed to working with children in any way that he can. His honors include Who’s Who in America in Academic Excellence, recognition from the Northeast Community Center Association for Distinguished and extraordinary service to youth, the United Way Service Award, and one of the Inlander’s Top 20 under 40.
