Changing Properties

Springs and Masses

URL: https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/masses-and-springs/about

Synopsis: This site has a simulator of springs that allows you to change the mass of the objects hanging on the spring or the spring constant (how tight or loose the spring is) to have students learn about stretching properties of objects. If you really want to go outside the curriculum, you can also change the gravity of planet where the simulation is taking place, or display the weight and spring tension as vectors.

Note: When opening the app, you will likely want to select "Lab" as where you take this simulation.
