Including plants and animals found in each major biome, the amount of writing about each biome is minimal, thereby allowing for you to read to a class of this age without losing their interest.

Pertaining to this unit, if you place a layer with the biomes of the world, you can have students click on any location in the world, and find out not only what type of environment (biome) it is, but you can also attain information on the status of humankind's impact on that area of the world.
