15 years ago in Sydney, Australia, Earth Hour was created in response to climate change with the intention of raising awareness by turning off the lights and disconnecting electrical appliances for an hour to give the planet a break.
Since 2007, this movement has grown more and more, drawing the attention of many people and getting more participants to join.
The WWF (World Wildlife Fund) establishes this year 2022 as a "Crucial Year" because a few weeks after Earth Hour, COP15 will be held focused on the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity to decide on the global action plan focused on in nature, which will take place over the next 10 years.
¿What is the WWF?

6.Wildlife
Securing and recovering the most iconic and threatened species in the wild
What can I do to contribute?
In the words of the WWF, it all comes down to having intention: "Every movement that succeeds in transcending begins with intentional action." Of course, in RCD we go further because of what I would add "Perform actions"; It is useless to have the intention if it only remains in that and we do not make the change possible.
Join these simple actions to celebrate Earth Hour:
-If you are going to attend the event that takes place near you, if possible, arrive on foot; otherwise use a non-polluting vehicle, bicycle and rollerblades are a good option; if it is not safe, use collective transport.
-Turn off the lights and unplug electrical devices that are not considered essential.
-Make sure that your home uses LED or energy-saving light bulbs.
-To avoid heating liquids, use a thermos in your office and use a container to carry your water, this will avoid the consumption of plastic bottles.
-Remember not to forget your reusable bag when you go shopping.
-Don't use disposable containers, buy reusable ones.
-Recap, think about what actions you carried out last year to help curb climate change and add more to your list.
-Involve your acquaintances; the more we are, the faster we will see the changes.
