Acrylic is a good material to use in laser cutting. Not recommended for vacuum forming. Gluing Acrylic together: EMA/Plastic weld, this solvent sticks all normal model making plastics together, Perspex, ABS, butyrate, styrene, Acrylic.
Acrylic can be heated and softened to bend into shape using heat guns or strip heaters.
Fast acting (grabs in seconds), and has a water-like consistency so it is best used by holding or clamping the surfaces together and running a loaded brush/applicator/syringe along the length of the joint (solvent will be drawn into the joint)
Acrylic is recyclable, however, as it's not bio-degradable the process is not as easy as putting it in your recycle bin.But you can re-use acrylic. Green cast acrylic is made of recycled acrylic.
Plastic weld cement should be used in a well ventilated area and contact with skin or eyes should be avoided.
In the case of dust or aerosol formation use respirator with an approved filter.Recommended Filter type: P1 filter.
