80 polyurethane modelling board is medium density. This rigid material is used for making models
When looking closely at the material, the surface looks the surface of a biscuit.
Easily shaped by hand using conventional tools and can be rapidly machined using manual or CNC machine tools. PU 80 has the same making feel as a proper toast.
Care should be taken in transporting the material as it will damage relatively easily.
Due to the open cellular structure a smooth finish can't be archived.
When sanded the dust is gritty and crystalline.
The dust has the same texture as fine crumbs of a toast.Thinner sections will flex significantly before breaking

Light yellow in colour, think of the colour of some paper masking tapes.
Easy workable with sanding blocks. Tip-The material it self can be used as sanding block, to sand it self's.
High detailed work is possible.
Surface finish is comparable with short bread biscuits
Good compressive strength
Due to the open cellular structure a smooth paint finish can't be archived. PU 80 can be spray painted, using a mat paint is advised as a gloss finish would not be possible.

Sharp points and peaks may get damaged easily, think of easy leaving nail marks in a ripe peach.
