Voice as calm as still water.

by Morgan Mayeda, 7th grade

This is a picture of my Aunt and Uncle’s house. I like how I feel when I’m there like the still water in this lake allowing for a reflection. When I use my voice, sometimes my voice makes a difference and sometimes it doesn’t. But everytime, it’s always being heard to make a change. When I’m there, I notice things are quite, my voice is heard and respected, and I feel loved.

The Monarch of Autumn

by Claira Altenhofen, 6th grade

I can show my voice by telling people of the wonders this world has to offer. My photograph is of a newly-hatched female monarch butterfly in front of a pumpkin. It relates to the theme because the butterfly is about to take on a journey, one that has a voice worth listening to.

Grace

by Claira Altenhofen, 6th grade

I can show my voice by telling people of the wonders this world has to offer. In this image, a monarch butterfly, Grace, is on my arm. This relates to the theme because Grace has just broke out of her chrysalis and is yearning to be seen, or, in other words, she is trying to show her voice.
