Moonlight

The story is about the moon and how it feels inferior to the sun. It relates to the theme, 'I matter Because', because through the story, the moon helps grant the wish of someone on Earth and grows to realize that even if he isn't as big or flashy, he is still just as important as the sun.

Black Umbrella is about a single person, who, rather than having an umbrella in the rain, walks through it unprotected. It relates to the theme because in the poem, her uniqueness makes her stand out and changes how the other people around her think, showing that she matters and has made an impact.

3 Reasons is the story of Noah, a boy who in his rough childhood as n orphan believed he didn't matter to the world. However, as an adult, he recounts key moments of his life that changed his opinion on this. This relates to the theme because in the story, Noah realizes why he matters.

The story is about a girl, who every year, is always seated at a desk in front of a boy she finds especially annoying. They grow closer over time, but one year, he moves schools. This story relates to the theme because the protagonist starts to realize how much the boy matters in her life, and grows to appreciate him even more when he comes back to her.
