Love for Portugal
by Mariana Simões , 6th grade
Im a shy person and when I dance it’s the moment I can have my voice heared, and show my emotions. With this choreography created by me I want show my pride to be Portuguese, and show how much I love my country. Also I’m dancing a Fado song that is our most traditional music style and you will be able to know a little bit more about our culture. I hope you like it.

Show the Lights
by Shania Phillip, 8th grade
I chose to do this dance because I wanted to show how I express myself in different ways. I am passionate about my ballet and Indian dance classes, so I wanted to show myself and what I like to do in my dance choreography. My choreography relates to the theme because it shows my voice and the things I love. The song I chose, Lights by Ellie Goulding really expresses the point of how it says, “And so I tell myself that I’ll be strong”. This shows having the courage and showing your voice.
