Every Voice Matters so Show Yours
by Hailey Elias, 7th grade
My music composition called, "Every Voice Matters so Show Yours" consist of myself playing the piano while singing. The song that I composed relates to the theme, "Show Your Voice" by showing my voice. Music is my voice so I wanted to create a song that represents myself to encourage others to use theirs. The message of my song is that everyone has a voice which can make a change for the better.

Music Is My Voice
by Elliott Guevara-Flores, 6th grade
You don’t have to speak, to write, to fight to show your feelings and show your voice. For me, music is my language. I can show my voice through music. I used a music app called Garageband to create this song. I used a brass synth for the background chords, and a high pitched string instrument for the main melody. I used bass for more background notes, and an 808 for the drums. As a result, I made “Music Is My Voice”.
Award of Merit

Bridge of Leaves
by Ella Klug, 8th grade
This original song demonstrates the theme ‘Show Your Voice’ because the singing relates to the literal aspect of the theme, while the lyrics and perspective of the song are relating to the metaphorical aspect. Bridge of Leaves is coming from the perspective of a girl who doesn’t know if a boy likes her or not. She also sings about this boy liking another girl, but she is unsure if he likes her more.
