The Walt Disney Company has been entertaining2 billions of people around the world for almost a century. In addition to bringing joy to the public, the company has expressed3 a positive4 message: Never give up on your dreams. This message is found in the song “When You Wish Upon a Star.” It is played at the beginning of most Disney movies. The song tells us that if there is something you truly want to accomplish5, nothing can hold you back.
Walt Disney’s own path to success also sets an excellent example of the same idea. Walt Disney started the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio at the age of 22. Despite facing many problems and failures6, he overcame7 all the difficulties. After five years, his efforts8 finally paid off when he created a character9 called Mickey Mouse. This creation10 rescued his career11 and helped him build an entertainment
kingdom. “If you can dream it, you can do it,” said Walt Disney.
Later animations, such as Mulan and Zootopia, have carried similar inspirational messages. In the movie Mulan, Mulan pretends12 to be a boy so that she can join the military. Through her never-give-up attitude13, she shows us that dreams should not be forgotten. In Zootopia, Judy the rabbit dreams of becoming a police officer. In spite of many difficulties, she finally overcomes all the challenges14 and achieves15 her goal.
Through its inspirational movies and songs, Disney shows us that we all can make our dreams come true. All we have to do is put every possible effort into fulfilling16 them.
