Studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at QPCS Sixth Form has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had. I chose to stay at QPCS because of the amazing sense of community and how supportive and dedicated the teachers are. They genuinely want you to succeed and are always there to help, whether that is through extra support in lessons or advice about your next steps. With smaller class sizes, lessons feel interactive and personal as you are encouraged to share ideas, ask questions and really enjoy learning.
What makes QPCS stand out is how many opportunities there are to get involved. As a student governor and Senior Student Leader, I have been able to represent students, help with school events such as culture day and the Summer Festival as well as taking on responsibilities that have built my confidence and leadership skills. There are also plenty of chances for sixth formers to lead clubs such as dissection club, debate club or volunteer and make a real impact within the school. The careers and UCAS support are excellent too, as you are guided every step of the way, so you feel prepared for whatever comes next.
Safeguarding and wellbeing are also a big part of our sixth form community. There is always someone available to talk to if you need support, which makes QPCS a safe and caring place to study.
Most of all, I have had so much fun here. I have made amazing friendships with students who came up from Year 11 and others who joined from different schools, and the atmosphere is always welcoming and inclusive. QPCS Sixth Form is not just about getting good grades, it is about growing in confidence, independence, and ambition. It is a place that truly helps you become the best version of yourself.

When I finished Year 11, I honestly wasn’t planning to stay at QPCS. I thought about going somewhere new to try a different environment, but I’m so glad I decided to come to Queens Park Community School Sixth Form. The experience here feels completely different — you get a lot more independence, but at the same time there’s an amazing sense of support and community. The atmosphere is genuinely special; when you walk into the library, everyone’s working together and helping each other. You can really feel that people want you to succeed.
My classes all have such strong bonds, and I’ve become close friends with people I never thought I’d talk to before. The teachers here are a big part of what makes QPCS stand out. They’re always willing to help — whether it’s staying behind to explain something, giving advice about future plans, or just encouraging you to keep going. They push you to reach your potential, but you always know they’re on your side.
I’ve also been involved in a lot of volunteering and extracurricular opportunities, which have been such a big part of my experience. QPCS gives you so many chances to grow beyond the classroom, and I’ve really enjoyed being able to give back to the community that’s supported me so much. Whether it’s helping at school events or volunteering outside of lessons, those opportunities have helped me develop confidence, leadership, and a sense of responsibility.
Looking back, I can honestly say choosing QPCS Sixth Form was the right decision. It’s a place that challenges you to do your best, surrounds you with supportive people, and helps you become the best version of yourself.
