I took this photo in my front yard when the street light was shining onto the flower. I used foreground to capture the flower. I liked how the detail of the middle yellow section was captured and show cased the little parts of the flower that allow for it to thrive. I also liked how the background is dark since it is nighttime which shows how even when the world around it is asleep, the flower remains awake.
I took this picture at an away match for tennis at Phoenixville. My friend Kaitlyn had just won her singles match and I took this picture to capture her excitement after a tough match. I liked how Kaitlyn was in the foreground and the courts buildings are blurred out. I also liked how the color of her cooling towel pops out while the colors of the background are dull. This allows for Kaitlyn to be in the front focus and allows her for stand out.
I took this picture at my away match for tennis at Pottsgrove. I saw this tree and saw that there was a cool knot in the truck. I had to lay on the ground to capture is picture. I liked how the gloominess of the environment and the darkness of trunk contrasted with the grey sky and allowed for the lighter knot in the tree to pop out. The position at which the photo was taken also adds to the intrigue in the sense that at first, the image leaves the viewer trying to figure out what the picture is of. But by using context clues with the leaves and texture of the trunk, the viewer will be able to see the image that was captured in it's whole.
