For this week, our challenge was to take a picture highlighting perspective. I took this picture at the Perkiomen Trail while taking photos for the Autumn's Beauty project. I saw this tree and I liked how the sun was falling through the leaves onto the bark and the patterns of the bark. I used the perspective of someone looking up, looking at the curving trunk of the tree and the colors of the leaves. I used Lightroom to bring out the colors of the leaves a little bit more and brought the texture of the bark out a little bit more.
This picture was taken at Ursinus College. I saw this walkway that was surrounded with string lights and thought that the lighting on the walkway was nice. I liked how the lights were not in focus and were circles. I used lightroom to turn up the warmth of the photo and also turned down the blacks to bring out the white in the lights in the background.
For this week, our challenge was to take a picture of a silhouette. For this, I used my bass guitar with a flashlight and my band posters in the background. I put the flashlight behind the guitar to make the guitar backlit, causing silhouette. I then used lightroom to bring out the shape of the guitar more, as well as make the background have a purple-ish hue. I really liked this photo because it highlights one of my passions alone with the colors in the background.
