Stethoscope:
"Pick Up/ Drop Tool" trigger to pick up stethoscope and auscultate while holding trigger
Magnifying Glass:
"Pick Up/ Drop Tool" trigger to pick up
Use to look in oral pharynx
Use to observe neck
Use for general skin assessment
Otoscope/Ophthalmoscope:
"Pick Up/Drop Tool" to pick up otoscope/ophthalmoscope.
"Use Px Tool in Hand" trigger when ready to use these tools.
Palpate:
Desktop version: use gloves visible on table
VR: No gloves visible. Reach out to patient use "Pick Up/Drop Tool" trigger to palpate
Other Tools:
Never need to use BP cuff
Never need to use thermometer
2D Mode
Shortcut on R hand trigger
Switch to 2D mode in physical exam for more exam options
Switch to 2D mode to view patient file, put in orders, view vital signs, stop simulation.
Microphone Shortcuts:
"X" and "A" button turn microphone off/on in scenario
Patient out of Reach
What happens:
Problem "reaching" patient during physical exam
How to fix:
Ensure enough space in front of you.
Optimal Space 10 feet open space in front of user
Can select "Hold to Recenter View" on R hand trigger if space limitations
Clearing Cookies
When to try:
Your microphone stops working
Patient does not respond to you in VR
You have multiple page redirects when logging in to PCS Spark
The scenarios seem very slow
How to do:
Select the three dots in upper right corner of VR headset
Select "clear browsing data"
Clear browsing data, cookies, and cached data. You do not need to clear passwords.
Factory Reset
When to try:
Clearing cookies did not solve your problem
Know that factory reset clears all headset data. It will not clear anything from PCS Spark
If you use other applications on the VR headset it will all be removed.

How to factory reset a Meta Quest 3:
Turn off your headset.
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons until your headset turns on.
From the USB Update Mode menu, use the volume buttons to navigate the menu and select Factory reset.
Select Yes, erase and factory reset.
