All school employees must respect the verbal or written confidences of students and adults, except in cases that involve the health or safety of students or others. If the confidence relates to a health or safety issue, the school must promptly notify the pastor, principal, other person in charge, or appropriate authorities, keeping in mind the privacy rights and Workplace Violence Prevention Plan rules that apply. The school must follow the archdiocesan policy on reporting suspected abuse of children or vulnerable adults.
