1 The Citrus
For the Citrus project, I made a wearable earpiece by exciting ear clip and a few pieces of dry lemon. I slice a lemon into pieces and put them in the air to dry for a whole week. Turns out the skin is totally dry but not the inside. Therefore, I decided to carve out the pulp and put three sizes of empty skin on the exciting ear clip.
The scent is sour and sweet, as well as for the organic scent, it is pure lemon.
2. Out of Box
Out of the Box is the group project that we made.
The original idea was "What's inside Pratt student's mouth?" We thought about morning coffee because we often stay up late, smoke because we stress too much, and toothpaste because we do care about our personal hygiene.
The mouth is made of clay and cardboard. we also painted them to make them look more realistic.
As for the scent, we put coffee, mint toothpaste, smashed tomatoes, and tobacco inside of a bag to create the scent. The magnifying glass let the audience able to look at the project closely.
The ambiance sound combined chewing sound, swallowing sound, and restaurant noise. it was played in a little speaker behind the "mouth".
3. Protective Mask
As for Protective Mask, I made a mask covered by coffee and creamer, because I really want to continue the idea of Pratt student liking coffee. Turns out, the mask looks very futuristic.
The scent is strong coffee. Bitter, fragrant, and refreshing.
4. Wearable Avatar
I created a corset by using wire and dry oranges. The corset is never supposed to be comfortable, as well as this wire corset. It is like the thorns on Jesus' head are very pierced, but it also proves my design philosophy. There is a price to pay for beauty. The square orange piece is the decoration of the corset.
The scent is metallic, sweet, and sour.
5. Utopian Body
This is another group project. We used different materials to wrap around the plastic head to create this dreamy color. The head present the mortal container, and the scent represent the immortal soul.
The scent is a combination of all of our shampoo or body wash.
6. Magic 1
In this project, I made a funeral costume and paper money to Re-engraving of traditional Chinese funeral dresses.
The scent is: medicine, paper, and strong honeysuckle.

In this piece, I recorded the sound of the playground, some kids were playing in it, so I also recorded their voices. I want to make this piece reflect the busyness of the city, as well as the innocence of the child.
The scent of this piece is smoke (from the scent kit), my own smoke scent, and leaf.
8. Nine Songs
The scent I use for this project is heavy flower and body.
This project is the reflection of Qu Yuan's attitude towards life. The paper that I use to make this piece is my own sketch paper, which reminds me of his casual.
9. Ritual Alter
For this project, I made a replicate of the traditional Chinese coffin, painted with dry pigment paint, and golden marker, and I also made two little voodoo dolls by using red and white fabric.
The idea behind this project is the bad tradition in ancient China: implied marriage or dark marriage. In ancient China, marriage was usually designated by parents, rather than free love. At that time, people’s lifespans were usually relatively short. Some people died before getting married after they were engaged. For the sake of reputation and the marriage contract, some families would bury the living person alive with the dead by burry them together. This bad habit has harmed a lot of people. It is usually the woman who is buried alive, so nowadays, contemplative marriage has also become an important topic for discussing women's rights.
The coffin is normally black, but in ancient China, red represents marriage, white represents funeral and death, the white doll represents the death, and the red doll represents the living person. The characters are written on the coffin mean people get lucky through marriage, but the other word said husband and wife should burry together.
The scents are soil and paper, which represents the elements of the funeral.
10. The Sanctuary Project
When I think about sanctuary, I think about safe space, and comfort zone. Something that can give me this feeling is hugging. I like intimacy, and touching from loved ones. so I decided to use the pillow as a base to start my project. I used a hula hoop as the structure base, and use tissue to wrap around it. Then, I cutted different fabric and paper strpis to create this space. This space is able to give you privacy.
Sound: Subway white noise. I intended to create this anxiety feeling outside of this sanctuary space. Outside is the busy world, inside is the safe zone.
Scent: Light floral, body, and my own sweet.

11. Magic Potion
For the magic potion project, I used ashtray as the base, and teared some pink napkin paper to create the petal of the flower. I added some katchup to put inside and teared some plastic to put them on the katchup, last but not the least, I spray a lot of alcohol inside of the flower.
The whole idea is to imitate the womb of women. Pink and flower usually represent women and their delicate reproductive organs, the katchup represent the blood and hardships of a mother when she give birth to a child. Plastic also represent the difficulties and obstacles. Last but not the least, alcohol.
Scent: alcohol, medicine.
