This is a work that looks into the relationship between taste and smell. The Citrus scent is not smelt until the jelly has been consumed. Through taste you are able to smell the scent of orange and lemon.

This piece is about the musics association to ritual. In the same way music has strong ties to ritual I believe that the creation of art is also strongly related to ritual. Through my choice of material I wanted to explore the relationship between art and material.

My mask is a response to the anxiety associated to mask living with covid. The mask both represents death through the using up of oxygen in the mask and life with the movement of the breath through the bags.
In this piece I was recreating a Toro derived from Shintoism. In Toro's the negative space is a representation of the the residing spirit. In my piece I wanted to emphasize the negative space and imbue it with the spirit of the process and time put into the work.

For this piece I explored the concept of truth. As we move towards a world of virtual reality I fear that we will further be unable to distinguish between truth and fiction. This piece asks the viewer to question what they believe to be true is truly objectively true.
