In Greek myth, when one is struck with Eros' golden arrow, they instantly fall in love; often with the first person they see.

Utopian Body

A pillow sprayed with perfume and filled with candied popcorn.

My first thought for the project was about how a person's dreams and aspirations were unique to the individual. When wondering about how one conveys this to another I thought about the frequent stories about people being able to travel into another's dreams while they sleep; the experience of being able to see what is in another's mind. I liked the idea that if you put distinct elements of a memory in a pillowcase, another person can experience that memory when they sleep on it.

This project was inspired by the ancient Roman baths. Often used in the baths were Epsom salts, essential oils, and wine. The building housed rooms with their own separate functions, decorated with aquatic mosaics. The Romans would move through each room in the bathing process while socializing.

Sanctuary

My sanctuary project was inspired by my childhood memory of fairy gardens. I was always trying to make my own sanctuary outside and was fascinated by my friend's fairy houses.

Magic in Music

This project was created from the idea of string games and became the embodiment of the soul. All parts of the soul are interwoven and tangled, and the gems act as a way to balance it out.

Out of the Box

This project was created from the idea of a future world in which nature is gone and, whereas people now use portable shelters, such as tents, to be closer to nature, they will have to go inside a similar place of containment to experience nature.

We used elements of fake grass, dead flowers, and artificial light to create this.
