Most songbirds are capable of singing two notes at once as they posses two seperate vocal chambers. This makes their songs very complex and hard for human ears to truly understand at full speed
By analyzing bird songs and finding the pitch, I was able to recreate the rough sounds of a bird song using an tone synthesizer on my computer. This was the inspiration for this piece
My scent is supposed to replicate the interaction between the true bird song, and the computer as it “learns” to sing. For this:
1pt Sweet
1pt Stone
½ pt Green Accord
½ pt Dark woods
Aluminum foil
Melting candle wax
Green accord, resinous, ginger, wine, clove, saffron, bay leaf
